Informing staff and consent
Staff must always be informed about the adoption of location services for things like time tracking, automatic creation of driving logs and location of mobile equipment. They should be informed about things like what the information is used for and why, and who they can contact if they have any questions. An important thing to remember is that tracking equipment, for example, does not require the consent of the user of the vehicle, but for services related to the location of personnel, consent is required.
